I just installed a 26” Cold Case radiator in my 72 Duster with ‘70 340 (passenger side water pump outlet) and the stock lower radiator hose is not quite fitting without kinking some. Does anyone know of a better fitting hose for this combination?
I tried to determine if a later Duster with factory 26” radiator takes the same hose as the earlier 22” models but I’m seeing conflicting information.
Thanks!

Had to trim mine, if hose is to long it usually kinks, take a 1/4" -1/2" off the long side water pump side worked for mine, cuts easy with a razor knife with a new blade in it.

I had a similar issue on my 71 Cuda. 340 CUI, 26 inch radiator, same water pump. The replacement hose was too long and would kink. I had to trim an inch or so off the end of the hose and it fit great after that, no more kink. You could lay the old and new hose side by side and see the difference before trimming.

I installed a custom 26" radiator in my A-Body with a Magnum motor. I used one of those old school hoses with the spring embedded in the rubber. You can see the spirals from the outside. They are very resistant to kinking. I went to ORiely's and searched through all the hoses on the wall. I also had to search for a custom top hose, and ended up with one that was around 3 feet long. I cut off the section that had the right shape and size to clear everything.
