Luck w/ an Axle

So I was browsing craigslist yesterday and came upon an add for an 8 3/4 axle for sale. Cost was $50. Couldn't believe it. Called the guy up and said I'll take it sight unseen. Went to pick it up and it's a 489 case w/ suregrip, 3.23 gears. The guy didn't know what he had obviously. Great find for a future project and a great price!

Craigslist is great for connecting a man who has "junk" that is another man's treasure, especially large items that are costly to ship. I have also found great deals. On the flip side, many people ask absurd prices on Craigslist since listings are free. You often see the same items later on ebay selling at what the market decides. My '65 Dart was the later.
