Magnets on sump plugs

Good idea?
How do you sick them on, so they don't fall off!!!

They are a good idea, couldn't see it hurting. I drill a small magnet sized recess into the plug itself then place a dab of jb weld. Just place the magnet into the recess and let cure. Make sure to clean any excess jb weld that squeezes out. Never had an issue.

Hughes Engines sells one and the magnet is so strong it's hard to get it in the threaded pan hole,, nice piece,, should grab anything in there.

Magnetize or demagnetize was 3rd grade science for me but anyone can magnetize the steel plug they have. with how to found on YouTube.
