another part I CANT find is a magnum 360 windage tray. wonder if a 360LA tray would work? anyone know for sure? also will a tray fit in my stock pan? summit sells crank studs for magnum 360 that are exrta long for windage tray use but no windage trays for magnum motors?? any ideas?

you are 100% sure on this one? not doubting you just don't want to order the wrong crank studs and a windage tray and have to pay to ship them back and also play the waiting game. also, do you have any idea about a tray fitting in a stock pan? you have been very helpful by the way rumblefish360. thanks!

YEP! The bottom ends are identical. The only difference in a "LA" block and a Magnum block is the oil passages that feed the head are not drilled in the block.

OH, MoPar makes a windage tray that is decent and that very windage tray was "STOCK EQUIPMENT ON SMALL BLOCKS"

I think I saw that one on summits web site. doesnt say its fits magnums for some reason. seems like this would loose them some sales. unfortunately , because of the way that one mounts it would keep me from using 4 of my arp crank studs. gonna go with the milodon one instead and hope it fits under a stock pan as well.

it does fit. I am using one with a cheap aftermarket pan and all is good. It took a little work to guide the pan in the right place and then it bolted right up. I still don't understand the whole windage tray thing. I would think more oil on the cylinder walls is a good thing unless your runnning 7k plus engine..

SST, there designed to fit in the stock pan, they all are, unless you have seen something different I'm not aware of?

63, there design is to keep the oil from splashing ontot he crankj and slow it down and take power away. It takes more power to run the crank through a splash of oil than it does a crank through air.
