Magnum head question with +.100 longer valves

I'm working on a set of eq magnum heads with plus .100 length valves .
Problem is the valve springs. Installed height is 1.700 and the seat pressure is low.
I guess the cam is .553 lift with 1.7 rockers.
The springs are at coil bind before max lift.

Has anyone had success with this & if so what springs or should the customer just go with a stock height valve.
 
You lost me!! I know you know a bunch about engines, but how will lower valve height help bind? I'd think it would be the other way around? That is, won't a taller valve allow for more room with an extended spring, when valve seated?

Maybe change to 1.6 ratio? Otherwise maybe a beehive or conical spring?

1st part, thanks for the reply. My writing out my thoughts needs work. The stock height valve or keeper grooves would just let the guy start over and we could use a known spring.
The free length is not the issue it is that it gets to coil bind at .470 when lift is .535 after I rechecked the math. Still not enough room.

Just for fun I was checking all kinds of springs and thought a 6.0 LS spring would work but same issue. Thanks !
 
Crower 68405 springs. Set IH to 1.650-1.700"". Coil bind is 0.980".


68100X200 would also work, have a lower rate. 1.7 IH, 1.030" CB

Buy some diff springs.

If yoy had enough spring.. you would just shim the springs, .015 .030 or a .060
Use hardened vsi's. Howards, comp, etc
+.100 is the better way to go. Fwiw
