magnum heads

i have a set of 5.2 magnum heads sitting in my garage i was wondering what it would take or if it is possible to bolt them onto my '70 318 for a little more performance or if it would just be easier to rebuild the current heads.

New correct magnum head bolts, correct oil through pushrods, intake for the magnums vertical bolts, and i think thats it. Oh and make sure that your lifters are oil through type also

Yep thats true. They usually crack between the exhaust valves. They say 95% of them on the road are like that but nobody notices it and they dont usually fix it when changing head gaskets just a surface and throw em back on. Atleast thats what the machine shop we use says to do. I got lucky and found a crack free set and put on my 318.
