Plan on putting magnum engine in my 74 duster. It has factory ac. My question is will the newer hoses hook up to the old connections on the firewall.? I have never felt with ac before. Thanks in advance

Not without custom adapters, there's a guy on here, who used the magnum suit-case badass71 I believe, was a nice build for ideas..

I will be doing this eventually, because I'm in the same boat, but I plan on retro fitting a newer evaporator into the stock suit-case so I can run the quick disconnect lines the Magnums come with.. We'll see how that works out..

i put a magnum in my 72 dart and had new lines made using the magnum compressor manifold. if your careful, you can cut off the collar on the old hoses and just crimp on the new ones.

It is fairly easy to cut-off the metal ferrules and re-use the fittings. I sure had to on my M-B cars since they used rare metric fittings, but standard AC hose fit. You can buy hose by the foot on ebay. If you don't have an AC compressor, no problem. Oeticker step-less clamps (ebay) look professional and all you need is a cheap nail puller to crimp them. Next best is Breeze screw clamps (flat surface, ebay)) or you can use the more standard hose clamps for AC that have a locating finger (ebay, see a pattern?). My 65 Newport had those (dealer or after-market AC) and they never leaked. Indeed, I had to peel the rubber off the fittings.
