May sound like a stupid question but: do you hold the stud when torquing down the nut for the main cap using arp studs? In the instructions they say to install the studs hand tight only but would'nt it turn while torquing the nut?

Run the studs down till they bottom out in the block then torque the nut. You don't need to hold the stud while torqueing the nut.

No, it doesn't turn. Also make sure you use the ARP lube on both sides of the washer and torque in steps.
