manual brake problem

ok i have a 74 duster 318 powerstearing manual breaks and the problem is when you first step on the brake pedal it goes all the way to the floor needs pumped up didnt think much about it but it dosnt hold after going a mile or so down the road i need to pump them back up to stop no fluid loss eather srry for the odd question but this is my first manual break car not shure if this is right or not i remember dad always pumpin the brakes on his old cars lol.

.............Sounds like the master cylinder is tired...........possibly needs all the drum brakes set up/replaced................kim..........

Adjust your brakes? Pull them and check them first?
