I'm looking at replacing the master cylinder on my 71 Duster. I’m not sure of the Boar diameter of the one that is on the car because I haven’t removed it yet. I don’t want to change the push road if it is in good shape.

It has front disk brake and rear drum. I'm unsure if that was the factory option or if it was coming from another car. The car is a 318 engine. It’s a front disk brake with rear drum brake on an 8 1/4 rear end. I will attach some pictures.

I appreciate your help

Looks to have 73-76 disc brakes and 8-1/4 rear as no 71 came with big bolt pattern and if it had discs originally it would have 4-piston Kelsey Hays brakes on the front and 10-1-3/4 drums on the rear. What is wrong with you master?

The master cylinder is bleeding fluid through the cast iron and leaking on the firewall. Look like is been going on for awhile since it is rusted underneath it on the firewall.

I want to change all rubber hoses first and possibly the hardline, they are rusty and have some sharp bends. I will bleed the brakes when I receive the rubber hose and see if the hardline and master cylinder are good after the old fluid is drained and the bleeding procedure is done.
