Ok im putting a 8 3/4 in a 73 dart. All i can find is sites that go up to 72 a body. Its a c body rearend so i need to no what measurements to cut housing down to

use the same measument as the '72 dart. the reason they don't show anything after '72 is that was the last year for 8 3/4 rearends in a-bodies.

the actual length should be determined by you. Now would be a great time to offset or relocate your springs and buy some wheels and tires with the fit you like and then get a measurement flange to flange on the wheels and cut it where you like it.

Just a bare A-body housing is 51 5/8,flange to flange(no backing plates or brakes)then add which brakes you,ll be useing? 10x2 1/2 or 10x1 3/4?or 11 inch?
