The casting date for the middle of 71 would be February to July anything after July would most likely be for 72.

So I would think that a block cast in late August or early September would be what your car came with although I’m not an expert on dates. I’ve had plenty of numbers matching cars over the years but I never bothered to check any of the casting dates on them.

Aw yeah I figured about that in between for ideal dates. Found intake manifold close to match the dates . Block is next.
