My son received a call from a Canadian member. He is driving down and bringing a Hemi with a hole from a thrown rod and a R3 with a cracked main saddle. I was wondering who it was.

Steve has been getting many destroyed blocks to repair lately. A sign that older rare blocks are getting harder to find.

Maybe the member shipping his car down wasn’t want to be known? If the member advertised he’s on/aware of this site, then your son needs to ask one more question….. what’s his user name.

Hemi ,X blocks ,R3 blocks ,and ritter blocks have always been hard to obtain( $$$) and usually kept till they're destroyed ...does your son fix windows in blocks by weld or metal locking?

Both. When there is nothing to lock they have to be spray welded. I just watched him put Mount ears on a big block that were missing .

Steve worked for a well know local machine shop since 18 yrs old. It was only him and the owner who owns the Hemi Hunter BB rail that ran against The Garlits Wynn's Jammer.

Turning down the offer to buy that shop. Steve bought all New Machines and opened is own shop. The machine shop owner has been repairing old iron and aluminum nitro engines for a very long time . Steve was taught by an old machinist from back when they repaired everything.


Steve gets new blocks to do all the machine work. from split blocks that have to be fixed and then put side bolt mains in. He can line bore up to a 5 foot block. face book. SK Machine | Danielsville PA
