Metal prices...Reality check!

Was going to fab up some wheel spacers from 6" X.250 AL rounds until I saw the prices...16.45 a piece! GTFO! I guess Ill but them at Summit for $6.99 a piece...duh! Flat plate was 2.99 a lb, steel plate was 1.99/lb. Sheesh on the rounds price!

Yea cheaper to buy the china stuff. But I think it is cast aluminum not that it's a bad thing but your comparing prices to billet aluminum I think.

That ok I just called today for some 1/2 by 4in cold rolled bar stock and it was 150 for a 12ft stick. A piece of 3x3 1/16 wall is going for 65 a 20ft stick. I gotta buy about $1000 worth of steel just to build a CNC plasma cutter table. Ouch
