mini tubbed Q's

On my 71 Duster will back seats ever fit back in there with it mini-tubbed? It will probably be strictly a drag car but you never know.

I think you van still get it in there. You may need to cut some of the seat frame though.

Tadjou, that picture shows a full tub job, not a mini-tub. With the mini-tub you just widen your existing wheel wells and you don't get that type of intrusion into the rear seat area.

That makes sense. I do recall seeing cars with a strips of sheet metal down the lenght of the wheel well to widen it.

I though my car was mini-tubbed due to the wheel well not being very wide.

Tadjou looks like you did the same thing i did to my Scamp,i can't use the back seat either.
Did you cut out all the way to the frame rails?

I would consider bolth his and Kevs cars mini tubbed. They bolth still have the stock frame rails in place. If the frame rails were moved in then it would be a full tub/back half job.

That's what i thought to Adam since i'm only gaining 3 1/2 inches. Mine were all rotted so i just did it this way.

You only gain 3" in width but now you can run a tall tire and tuck it in nicely without having to jack the *** end up sky high.

I don't know i'm gonna have to wait until i get the rear back in and get the qtrs. on.

If it clears the front of the quarter panel a 315-60-15 or 30X13.5" ET street will fit up there nice on a 15X10" rim with 7.5" backspacing.

As far as i can tell right now 12.5 is as wide as i can go,but i'll know for sure once the rear is back in.

Here's a side shot in case you forgot what it looks like.I cut the rockers back like 2inches to get the tubs to fit right.
