Quick Mockup on my 408 Stroker I’m building. Waiting for my rotating assembly to show up so I can send the engine off to the machine shop. All I can say is new parts look real pretty.

Make sure your valve covers clear everything including the intake runners. Are you assembling the motor yourself?

Yes, im getting aluminum fabricated tall valve covers.
first engine build so I’m trying my best to make sure everything is done correctly.

Are they off the shelf covers (Holley, etc.) or actual hand made ones? If off the shelf, check them too, a lof them will not clear the runners and I had a set of of the shelf fabricated covers I needed to open the holes up on to bolt down.

Any suggestions? Haven’t purchased any valve covers yet. They will be off the shelf, thanks.

I had Holley fabricated ones in black and I have Speed Master heads, so keep that in mind. They fit, the flanges are thick and seem well made. I just didn't care for the look and sold them and now have Cast Edlebrock ones that are really heavy. It is a common issue even for stock valve covers to not clear aftermarket intake runners. Hopefully your Trick Flow heads have a raised surface. I ended up needed a 3/8 spacer to clear but I think the issue was my heads.

these are the valve covers I’m getting, the flanges LOOK like they would clear and not interfere with the runner. I hope they do, not a fan of spacers… double the gaskets and double the chances of leaking.
