According to an article on yeahmotor.com, MOPAR dominates this list with 13 of the top 25 quickest musclecars from the 60s and 70s. Their list is titled "fastest" but they show ET, not top speed.
I believe they compiled this list from magazine test reports.
The others on the list were:
1 Buick
7 Chevy
3 Ford
1 Pontiac

Here's the Mopars:
#3 1969 Road Runner, 440-6 bbl, 4 speed, 4.10 gear
#4 1970 Hemi Cuda, 4 speed, 3.55
#8 1970 Road Runner, Hemi, automatic, 4.10
#11 1969 Charger 500, Hemi, 4 speed, 4.10
#12 1968 Charger, Hemi, automatic, 3.23
#13 1970 Superbird, Hemi
#14 1968 Road Runner, Hemi, automatic, 3.55
#17 1969 SuperBee, 440-6 Pack, automatic, 4.10
#19 1970 Challenger R/T, 440-6 Pack, automatic, 4.10
#22 1964 Polara 500, 426 wedge, automatic, 3.23
#23 1969 GTX, 440, automatic, 4.10
#24 1969 Dart, 440, automatic, 3.55
#25 1971 Road Runner, 440-6 bbl, automatic, 4.10

need to add the 69 coronet RT, 440 4 speed , power steering only. would absolutely bury the 160 mph speedometer. the Tulsa police had 2 1968 furys, that the factory guaranteed would do 185 if kept tuned. my rt had the same drivetrain, w/ the exception of being a 4 speed. the T.P.D. bought them because the Camaros were getting on the b/a expressway and outrunning them. my ex partner worked at a Chrysler dealership at the time.

I sus pect there were quite few h.p. 440`s w/ 354 dana 60`s in them that would run like that if wound out.

I read that yesterday. I just wanted to reach through the screen and slap that piece of crap that "wrote" that "article".
The info on that was so wrong on so many levels. The pictures were cool, but dear god, the descriptions were just painful to read.
