yes they did! this is the one that really blows me away. the dodge brothers helped finance ford with money and equipment in a business venture. ford later helped design and convinced the dodge brothers to build hamtramck!ford then left and went on to make his model a

ok that is 1 down.....good job

Lee Iococa (however it is spelled) comes to mind.

some further info on ford

In their first year of business the Dodge brothers' company began making parts for the automobile industry. In 1902 the Dodge brothers won a contract to build transmissions for the Olds Motor Vehicle Company upon which they built a solid reputation for quality and service. However, the following year in 1903 they turned down a second contract from Olds to retool their plant to build engines for Henry Ford in a deal that included a share position in the new Ford Motor Company. By 1910, John Dodge and his brother were so successful they built a new plant in Hamtramck, Michigan.

For ten years, the Dodge brothers' company were suppliers to Ford and John Dodge worked as vice president of the Ford company. In 1913 he left Ford to devote his energies full time to produce a Dodge automobile. They began building motor trucks, ambulances and other vehicles for the United States military during the arms buildup for World War I and in October of 1917 they produced their first commercial car.

In 1919, Henry Ford bought out the Dodge brothers shareholdings in Ford Motor Company for $25 million

ford had the money to do this because the cars he now was produceing was makeing him very wealthy. this 25 mil was the money ford owed the brothers for basically keeping ford in business by supplying him with engines. ford couldn't pay the dodge brothers at the time of the deal so he sold the brothers stock in the company to keep the company moving! really if the dodge brothers wanted to, they could have demanded payment ,stopped engine production and effectly put ford out of business again for the second time......

correct again! lee was a big ford guy from the 50's and into the 60's. after he helped get the mustang off the ground chrysler started looking to get him with them. as we all know this turned into a pretty good venture. 1978 is when he finally came on board....

ok 2 is in the books........good job again!

OK, here you go! Henry Ford was wondering what to do with all the wood scraps from his vehicle frames. He got together with his, IIRC, brother in law who's last name was Kingsford. The rest is BBQ history!

Carol Shelby comes to mind

correct! carrol shelby is the last link.
Shelby began working with Dodge at the request of Chrysler Corporation chairman, Lee Iacocca, who had previously been responsible for bringing Shelby to the Ford Mustang. After almost a decade of tuning work, Shelby was part of the team responsible for the Dodge Viper.

The following cars were modified by Shelby, and bore his name, but still sold under the Dodge marque:

1983-1984 Dodge Shelby Charger
1985-1987 Dodge Charger Shelby
1984-1986 Dodge Omni GLH
The following cars used Shelby-modified parts, but were not overseen by Carroll Shelby:

1986 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z C/S
1987-1988 Dodge Daytona Shelby Z
1988-1991 Dodge Daytona C/S
1989-1991 Dodge Daytona Shelby
1988-1989 Dodge Lancer Shelby
1989-1990 Dodge Shadow Competition
1991-1992 Dodge Spirit R/T
1992-1993 Dodge Daytona IROC R/T
The following cars were modified and sold as Shelbys:

1986 Shelby GLHS (based on the Dodge Omni GLH)
1987 Shelby GLHS (based on the Dodge Charger Shelby)
1987 Shelby Lancer (based on the Dodge Lancer)
1987 Shelby CSX (based on the Dodge Shadow)
1988 Shelby CSX-T (based on the Dodge Shadow)
1989 Shelby Dakota (based on the Dodge Dakota)
1989 Shelby CSX-VNT (based on the Dodge Shadow)

very intresting stuff huh? some side notes as well. the famouse penta star that chrysler uses is a spinoff from the jewish star as the dodge brothers were jewish. henry ford also is the only non german citizen to recieve a medal from hitler himself for his contributions to the automotive industry and business achievements.

ok that is it 3 and out!......good job guys!
