New member here, although I have visited this forum many times researching how I might build my future A-body.

I am a former Daimler-Chrysler and FCA training instructor, and now teach for a Mopar college program at a community college in the Houston area. I have long lusted after Darts and Dusters, and came close to purchasing a '67 Dart GT for my first car. Still burns me that it got away.

I have a few bikes and have lost the motivation to ride. Too much traffic and distracted drivers. So selling two toys should free me up for another toy, at least I hope to convince my wife. I may try the classifieds on this site to see if anyone is up for a trade for either my 2002 Buell or 1978 Kawasaki KZ (or both). It's a long shot, but it's hard to put a price on a project that I've spent countless hours on.

I'm really open as to year or model. Just no 4 doors or post cars. I want to be able to take my family to the cruise-in, use it for class projects at school, and have it draw attention to the Mopar program. I am open to advice on what I should focus my search on. For example, I think Scamps can be just as attractive as Darts, but I have a feeling that parts may be harder to source.

Thanks, and I look forward to learning much more about my favorite Mopar muscle/economy car.

What specifically do you teach, AKA bodywork, drivetrain, etc?

WE will probably be bothering YOU for info LOL good example:

How hard would it be to regress to the earlier Magnum based V6 or V8 or how hard to adapt a hemi?

Del FINALLY passes up a mini white whale!!

Most of us don't know as much as we think we do LOL

The program is for training dealership technicians. So it covers all mechanical aspects of NEW cars. I first started out with Chrysler in 2006, right after I graduated college. The first class I ever taught was Cam-in-Block engines. So I'm pretty familiar with new Hemi's, but that knowledge doesn't really transfer over to swaps or aftermarket.
