what brand paint are you guys using for valve covers that's so nice and glossy?

No matter what the brand paint is, I like to bake it dry in the summer sun.
Surface prep is key for a great smooth finish.
Multi coats, not one thick one.

I use Plasti-kote 226 Hemi Orange (or Chrysler orange). Available at car quest, you can special order it if it is not in stock.

Also Chrysler Small Block blue is Plasti-kote 232.

You can get the 'Mopar' brand paint from Summit for a lot le$$ than at the dealer

it's hemi orange for 69 1/2 to 72' six pack BB and orange for the 70' six pack SB
