sorry for ignorance, what would be the difference between lobe seperation 108 and 114, because the rest is exactly the same

thank you
Check out ,Oregon Cams.... They are good..I will get roasted ,for this: I like wide lobe centers, when the combination likes it...

but what would be the differance betwwen 108 and 114, i would like to understand
Before,I (or ,anyone else..) give us a rear end gear ratio, transmission set-up,engine size: & stroke ,bore ,compression ratio, intake and exhaust set up,& what you want it yo do..(might add rear end, gear...)

As Mopar stated when they came out with that cam, "Improved drive abilty." Is what they were after.

The wider centerline will smooth out the idle quality. The narrower centerline (108) will have that muscle car idle and a hair rougher, since most cams are on a 110 centerline.

Typically, IF that applies, the narrower centerline cam will have a little more peak hp, choppier idle, and will be a (slight) bit harder to tune at idle. Because of the lumpy idle. Not that it would or present a problem.

The 114 centerline cam is very good for fuel injection because it has less overlap for the computer to get a better reading on what is going on. Because there is less overlap, the exhaust should be easier to clean up. The more overlap you have, the more raw unburnt fuel can escape down the exhaust pipes.

I have that book. It is a good one.
The listed cam begins with SH4, for "Street Hyd. Stage 4."
The wider centerline provides the reasoning for that cam for a closer to "True street driver."

I hope this helps.
