Looks new to me. OP can say for sure. Chrysler never had the cam parkerized so there is no black coating on it.

This cam has never been installed. what you see is the grease on it from the factory. It has been setting in the garage for around 8 years. the lifter boxes are still sealed in cellophane.

I'm not gonna bash in ya , not many left that have seen or even used a purpleshaft before to know that they dont parkerize the lobes, so they look shiny ... but they also put some of their own version of "cosmoline" and or "cam break in lube" which is a gold tan looking snot paste easily mistaken for rust sometimes in bad pics or from a far.
