mopar purple cam 590?

I am looking into using Mopar performance's purple cam 590/ 590 312 by 312 mechanical flat taper. Has anyone run it before? What's your opinion? Will I have valve interference with 63cc combustion chamber with a 6cc valve reliefs in the pistons as well as a .075 head gasket and Keith black pistons that come .030 out of the hole? Any input is appretiated, thanks.

nothing wrong with the cam....

only way to know if you have valve clearance is to check it...

I be willing to say with .075 head gasket...even though the piston is out .030....and if the depth of the valve reliefs on the pistons are .250....you are probably ok.....BUT..you could fire it up and have 16 bent valves...so wont it be better and smarter to check it...

Got a .590 cam in an engine...but the pistons are down .016...and using a .028 head gasket....

Is the engine assembled?

I use that cam in my 416. 72cc W2 open chamber heads, Wiseco flat top pistons zero deck height, 1.6 rockers. I have .085 piston to valve clearance on the intake and a little over a .100 on the exhaust. With a .039 gasket. The cam is installed a 108* also.

Aren't 63cc heads closed chamber? You might need to check piston to head clearance as well. Jim

the engine is getting a head and cam swap I'm using Indy rhs heads and that is the gasket thickness Brian at immengines recommended I should have sufficient running clearince with .045 an about 12:1 comp

Good cam, I ran the same cam street,strip for 5-6 years. As others said must check. I told a friend the same thing but someone else said he should be good and he wasn't at first fire! Costly mistake.

You won't have any trouble with valve to piston clearance. KB uses valve reliefs you could park a bus on top of.
