Dan, go on FB Marketplace and hit the save button for those you have any interest in, if nothing more than knowledge of market, and come back every week and see IF any were marked sold. May take weeks, month to see one sell. If ever. and....That does not mean anyone paid the listed price for sure. Some can sell and none marked them sold too.
Only time I am ever envious of the people in those states of high old car population and thus people, is when searching projects or even nice cars. But then I see all the rust these guys deal with most of the time.
Texas is the second highest populated state behind Ca. I believe. Yes it is the size of 4 large states, but most of our pop. is in the East half. We live about 1 hr N of Houston. Third or fourth largest city?? Seldom do I see any projects there worth buying. Most projects I would consider are 4-6 hours away. Most times you have to drive a ways to look at a car. UNless you live in N.J.??/
If you see a car that looks to be a winner call the guy and ask good questions, as to what is the GOOD and what is the BAD. $20,000 or so should buy a nice SB A body. Probably not a real 340 car, buy maybe...and probably not one the guy paid a resstoshop $80,000 to restore.
