Mopars Invade Mo-Kan Ashbury, MO April 9th

yes nice country track, everyone is friendly, BUT be sure to check the website before traveling there, heavy rains can cancel the event.

this is the place where last year, a slant ( purpose built) road toad out ran heads up a new hellcat!! 3 out of 3 !!!

We'll be there. I'll probably cnc a couple more pairs of small block Magnum valve cover spacers and bring with me.

Me and AT LEAST 2 other guys are going. Pretty sure there's more guys going so we'll have a whole convoy with us from the Wichita area.

Looks like I'm not racing that weekend at SRCA (Great Bend, KS) so I will plan on attending.

Maybe I'll get to do this after I retire. Never fails with work. Something always seems to come up that weekend. This time I have an employee going to get his boys during their spring break.

I've gone the past few years and I should be there again this year. It's a fun event.

If I can get my motor back together in time I may even drive my Dart up there.... but ya know how that goes...

I'll be wearing a black FABO shirt and I'll probably wear my blue Mopar ball cap. Feel free to say hi and introduce yourself! I always enjoy meeting new people.

Let me know when you are leaving and maybe I can join the caravan.

Damn. I've been the last two years but this is my Saturday to work.

looks like the weather will be great, dry, cool that fri nite but should be warm after that cool burns off. I have a friend that will be there among his parts, an A body rear end: cleaned up and painted housing, axles, new green bearings, backing plates. w/o third member.

we have so few events like this here in this West of Mississippi territory, everyone that has an interest needs to attend if possible. look up Mo-Kan Raceway, Asbury, Ks ( on MO Kan line about 30 mi N of Joplin).... on the puter for more info.

Looks like I'm out guys. Was thinking I might make it with the HDK swap, but found that I had some warped Wilwoods a couple days ago so the car is going to be down for a few weeks until they get them inspected and get me a new set (hopefully). I'm still going with the other guys but the Dart won't be there. Sucks!

I will be there just walking around. dark blue cap with Wyoming across the front in white letters. old grey haired fart. just walk up and introduce yourself!!!

be there from 10 till maybe 2. the I gotta get back.

About 5 of us NEO Mopar guy's are driving up Saturday morning from Tulsa. We are meeting at the QT across from Hard Rock Casino then hoping on the Turnpike to caravan up there. I have been the past three years and its always a good time! I wont be in a B Body this year, 71 Scamp!
See everyone there.
Todd

A picture of me running at Mopars Invade MoKan on Saturday. I ran a 13.50 with a .60 reaction time on street tires. I think I could easily get into the 12's with some practice and tires!
Did anyone else get pictures they can post?

I took some pictures. Not sure if I got any of your car though. I did see it run.

great pics. great weather and swap and races and all. I had company coming in and hit the swap for much needed parts and had to head back home, but only 1 hr away.

this event has been growing each year the last several. it declined back when our economy went South. really worth the trip for anyone in reasonable distance. I think!!! I meet people from Mo, Ar. Ks. Ok. and Tn, in the few minutes I had to stroll thru!!

It was a pretty good turnout. I sold a lot of front end parts off my car while I was there and I had that stuff clear at the the north end of the track away from the swap meet. It went quick too.

I found a bunch of pictures from the car show and shared them on our "Northeast Oklahoma Mopar Facebook" page. Our own Ed West won best of show with his 69 B-5 blue convertible RT!
Jim Sam's ran 10.63 in his green HellCat!
I was wondering whose Tawny Gold Dart that was. VERY NICE!
Todd
