Seeing post 86 valve covers on 60s and 70s cars seems to be a little mismatch in my head.

I too say leave it as it is unless you are a purist like many here are. I don't think stock is necessary to look good.
I agree. It looks good! Same dilemma with my Swinger. 318 2 barrel with hood scoops and 340 call outs. (I wish someone made 318 emblems that would fit in the holes) LOL I have a LD4B and a Edelbrock for it. I am not trying to pass it off as a 340 car and the previous owner did the mods to it. Do what makes you happy! If you want to switch to 273 covers keep your eye open for what you want.
