Stupid. Me. Looked at these two and decided to "leave them where they lay." BUT NO!!! Could not leave it alone. They wanted 200 for one, 240 for the other. Last week went out there again. It's a 25mi round trip. The Evinrude on the glas boat may or may not be fixable, the Johnson (both 35's) on the aluminum boat probably not. So, parts engines. Glas boat is junk, the trailer is OK, the aluminum boat trailer I will likely scrap. So I told the guy I'd give him 200 for everything, stupid stupid STUPID. TWO trips out there with the truck and trailer and dragged 'em home.
The aluminum is a 61 Sea King 14ft, it's 1 1/2' longer than the little 12' Crestliner, about 10-12 wider at the beam, and 3" higher in the stern so a bit safer. Just got done today, took the boat to the car wash, then down to a little lake and floated it at the ramp to test for leaks. !!!!!DRY!!!!!
