I have a 72 duster with a 416 in it,904 ,4900 convertor,8-3/4 410gears.Rhs heads, vic jr,600 lift cam.11.4 comp.950 Pro carb.TTi 1 5/8-1 3/4 step headers.Car weighs 3200 with Driver

Plan on changing headers to 1-7/8 tubular automotive headers that I already have.Wondering what the car will do pick up or slow down.Car runs 11.00@120 and 149 60 ft.

What cam, and what exhaust do you have? What is the primary length and collector design/size?
Compared to TTi, they should be lightyears ahead.

BTW - do you street drive that? I think I've seen it before...

I'm curious what cam too? Also maybe shift points?

I'd think the peak torque will move up 300/500 rpm's or so, but it looks like your combo would very easily handle it.....I think you'll pick up some ET and definitely up your MPH.

I misplaced the cam card, but I know it is a custum ground bullet 600 lift,108 CL.Motor was built and dynoed by RyanJ.primary tubes are 35''collector is 4 into 1, 3'' diameter style 12'' long to bolt flange then a12'' extension.Sad to say He said it made 560 HP.with 1.7/8 shoefield dyno headers. He told me to try the smaller header first.Motor peaked at 6200,6400 then dropped off, have tried shifting the car at 6200 doesn't go faster shifting higher.

I have been out three times with car and twelve total passes,Ran it open headers with a 18'' extension.Run dynomax 3'' mufflers on the street.
