more hood questions

[75-Swinger]

In an earlier post about '71 and '72 Duster/Demon hoods being the same or different, I mentioned that I put what I think is a Valiant hood on my Swinger. And it doesn't fit the fenders. My Swinger is a '75. I thought that the fenders on the '75 Swinger are the same as the Duster and Demon. Isn't this true? The only thing I can come up with is that the '72 Valiant hood is what I have and is different?

The other thread was about Demon/Dart hoods being the same not Duster/Demon.


Dart and Demon hoods are not the same as Dusters and will not interchange unless you change the whole front end. IE fenders, hood, bumper, grill.

70-72 Dart front clips will fit 73-76 Darts/Dart Sports, Dusters/Scamps if the entire front clip is changed.

70-72 Duster/Scamp hoods, grilles, and bumpers will work on 73-76 Dusters/Scamps without changing the fenders but the bottoms of the fenders are shaped differently but they can be used.

Duster/Scamp hoods, grilles and bumpers WILL NOT work with Dart/Dart Sport fenders, Dart fenders are different then Dusters and will not work with Duster hoods.

IF you want a 70-72 Duster front end you will have to install the entire front clip from a 70-72 Duster/Scamp/Valiant. You can also install a set of 73-76 Duster fenders and make them work with the earlier hood, grille and bumper.
