I am wondering if this is the right transmission I need for my 73 duster? I have a 440 already just looking for the correct 727.

I cannot tell for certain from your tiny photo, but I'm going to say (EDIT) NO

EDIT MAY NOT BE full shaft length, IE same length as any passenger car 727, has a slip yoke driveshaft, and does not have the parking brake assy,

EXCEPT........it appears to have the "upper" mount right at the tail, you may have to saw that off, not a big deal I think

Also at least some years of A bodies which used console shifters (OEM) had to have the tail housing with the cast holes in the underside of the casting

You can see them here, protruding from the bottom of the casting. Again, not needed except for some years of OEM console shifter

Just find the right core. By the time you spend the money on the right parts, it will cost the same.

All you need to do is find another core with a compatible main shaft and tail housing. I believe you could use a SB core, not sure about "slant" for the shaft and tail housing
