Tough choice for me, but I'm going with Shawshank Redemption.

Love to see your choices. :thumleft:

Since I can quote just about any line from either movie, I'm not gonna vote! Love them both!! Now, if you're talking Back to the Future???.....

Hmm.... Can't say I've watched either... What're they about?

Really? Both are great movies. The Shawshank Redemption was an assigned watch during my criminal justice classes I took.

On that note, I would have to go with the Shawshank Redemption.

The Green Mile is kinda cool, but The Shawshank Redemption is a very realistic movie. I like realism. Although it is not, it could have easily based on a true story.

Shawshank Redemption is an excellent movie, the town was Buxton, but I'm gonna say that "Patton" with George C. Scott is my favorite.

Buxton was the name of the town where Andy hid the tin box, but not "the name of the town" as referenced by that quote! Oh, where is uncle Greggy for a "phone a friend" for ya!!!

Every time I flip throughout he tv channels and I see Shawshank Redenption, I flip to that channel and end up watching the rest of the flick. It is a very good movie!

Both very good in their own rights. Cant really compare these 2 to each other. They were both a story of morals and both had a revenge line. As you can tell by the votes 17-1 I also picked Shawshank. Odd thing is- I wanted the rock-the obsidian.

To be honest, I started this thread just to see if I could do a poll :D.....never tried before. I just happened to be watching Shawshank at the time and The Green mile came to me as another prison themed movie.

My first viewing of the Green Mile didn't really do it for me when the "syfy" part came in later in the film, but I've grown to like it a little more as time has gone by, especially with the passing of Michael Clarke Duncan at the age of 54. It would be my "sentimental" pick.
