Moving front spring eyes rearward

I made some shims and moved the rear back on my Duster. About 1/4 in IIRC. A 28 tire can get pretty close at the front and you also have to account for tire growth if running slicks. As mentioned, shocks and rear may be very close to the gas tank. I wouldn't move the rear back if running a Dana.

I am running a dana , and my tires are 29'' tall----inner fender wells are stock-

Funny thing about wheel wells just on A bodies.

The 1965 Darts you have issues fitting a 215/70 14.
A 1965 Barracuda that tire is a breeze to fit. Just to flat tow my 65 Cuda home once I put a set of 235/78 15's under it and they fit well. That is a shy 29.5 inch tall tire. I ran a set of 255/70 15's on Cop car ralleys for a year and that is a 29 inch tire. What currently is under it now are 275/60 15's but they rub on the springs when cornering if I have 4 people in the car.

But, to each their own, do as it pleasures yourself.

This is a topic that some get all anal retentive about and a good enema may help.

235/70-15's fit like a glove. Room for more!

When I had SBP Crager SS mags and the 215/70 14's on my 65 Dart GT they hit the top outter side of the wheelwells. But I ran the body lower.

This was back in 1975. I think they were G70 14 bias plys.
