MP Electronic Ignition Questions

I plan on upgrading my 340 Demon to the MP electronic ignition setup. If I using an MSD ignition box and coil, do I still need to use the orange MP box that comes with the distributor? How about ballast resistors, are they still needed? Thanks.

no you don't need the orange box with a msd box. and i believe you can get rid of the ballis also.

Do you just unplug the ballasts and leave the plugs as is or do you have to redo some of the wiring?

You can just replace the ballast with a wire of the same gauge as the rest of the wire. Just crimp a spade lug on each end and tape or shrink wrap it so it doesn't short out.
