I have looked at the thread many times of the Dakota R/P in stock K frame. I read all the comments. I went to all the sites on Ackerman thory.I feel that I understand it pretty well. Now here is my question. I did a ground up resto on an 85 Ram, and took it to my friends alignment shop yesterday and while it was up on the rack I checked out various things underneath, and while I was at this I noticed the location of the tie rods with relation to the lower ball joints. If I were to draw the imaginary line across both points, as Ackerman explains, This line will extend outside of the rear wheels, rather than to the center of the rear end. How cah this be? Or am I missing something. The truck was reassembled properly and aligned perfectly. I wanted to do the Dakota R/P on my 73 Dart, but was concerned about Ackerman. Now I am really confused. HELP.
