Driving through Middlesboro, KY on Monday on Hwy 25E I found myself following a new body style Ram Dakota 4 door pickup truck. Back of the truck had a Dakota emblem and a V8 emblem. I didn't think much of it at the time other than looking closely to make sure I was seeing it correctly. I had not heard of a new Dakota truck but I don't keep up with the new stuff that much. After looking on line, I don't think they are in production yet. Anyone know anything more? Wish I had gotten a picture now.

Can't find anything but speculative articles with AI generated images.

I did find a South American "Ram Rampage" and a current Fiat truck that look like they could be on the same underlying platform-

I did not see the front of it, just the back and one side. Square body lines like a 2025 Chevy Colorado. I would not swear to the RAM marking on the tailgate, but I'm 100% certain of the Dakota and V8 emblems. Maybe someone went to a lot of trouble to have fun with people like me, lol. Or maybe a prototype.

This unibody platform is also used by other Stellantis (formerly Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) vehicles, including Jeep Renegade, Jeep Compass, & Fiat 500X

My '15 Renegade shares the "platform" with the 500X. (However, it's VERY difficult to tell from the inside or outside.)

I don't believe the pic above is the same platform.

Kinda small for a truck, although I've said since I bought it that if they offered a 4 door truck on the platform, I'd buy one.
