MSD mechanical dizzy

I want to run 22 initial and 34 total timing. But the smallest advance bushing is 18 degrees, how can I get the 12 degrees like I want. Do I have to make my own bushings? The dizzy is model 8534 and comes with 4 bushings, 28,25,21,and 18 degrees.

Don @ FBO sells 10* and 14* advance bushing for MSD distributors exactly for this reason...because MSD doesnt supply them. Give him a buzz, he may have a 12*...not sure.

Made my own. Drill, nut and a bolt cut off to hold nut in drill, along with a bench grinder. Just turned it down. Took about 10 minutes. I think mine was somewhere around .400 diameter IIRC

It isn't fancy but it works.
