MW 8.75 cap install

What is the process milling the caps for a 8.75 install. Anyone done this? On MW,s website they say milling required but dont elaborate. I have already back braced my housing and think caps at 105. is cheap piece of mind.

It is the same thing as align honing... The caps are fitted and then the bores are honed to the right size for the carrier bearings. Caps are cheap, fitting can be pricey because of setup time. Most shops look at you funny...lol.

i know people say back braces help if u dont twist it all up from welding but with the 8.75 ring gear deflection is in the drop out not the housing...
