My big thank you thread

Mike, here`s another members Valiant. It maybe Vickies older sister Valerie. Lol! "V" names seem to suit these Valiants, huh? Wouldn`t sound right if they were named "Mary" or "Kathy".:-D

I just heard the song "Victoria" by the Kinks on the radio, how fitting. :)

Long ago life was clean
Sex was bad and obscene
And the rich were so mean
Stately homes for the lords
Croquet lawns, village greens
Victoria was my queen
Victoria, victoria, victoria, toria

I was born, lucky me
In a land that I love
Though I am poor, I am free
When I grow I shall fight
For this land I shall die
Let her sun never set
Victoria, victoria, victoria, toria
Victoria, victoria, victoria, toria

Land of hope and gloria
Land of my victoria
Land of hope and gloria
Land of my victoria
Victoria, toria
Victoria, victoria, victoria, toria

Canada to india
Australia to cornwall
Singapore to hong kong
From the west to the east
From the rich to the poor
Victoria loved them all
Victoria, victoria, victoria, toria
Victoria, victoria, victoria

Mike, you've got Vicky all cleaned up and spiffy looking. Good job bud. :) She's a beauty, and you must just love driving her to town.

Vicky is a pleasure to drive.

Know when people drive by they are looking all around her and giving me a big thumbs up and a smile,
She burs at 60 MPH and All I can hear is mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
It has been a long time for me to get so much attention
The new 175 80's 13's that Ray put on the car give a great ride.
She don't jump around on the road and you can just let the wheel go and she tracks perfect, she jumps right up when I need to get in the fast lane and get around a truck doing 55 MPH, Just mat it and she is hitting 70 MPH before you know it,

Yes Sid !!! I am in love with Vicky :love7:

Great thread, MeMike. Thanks for the flashback to one of the greatest R&R bands of all time...The Kinks. Saw them in concert about 25 years ago and Ray and Dave were ON and crankin'.

I wanted to share this letter that macadoo1961 sent me, Of course I had my wife type it out for me, :glasses8:

Hello Mike and Ken, sorry this is getting to you guys kind of late, better late than never, right!! Have been busy and I have a bad habit of procrastinating on getting things done LOL! It's not a huge contribution but I did want to do something to help out. It has been very nice to see on FABO there is no border between Canadians and you folks down south! A whole bunch of you U.S. guys jumped on board and helped out Marvin in New Brunswick, Canada, seems fitting us canucks do the same for a good'ol boy like you Mike. That car you got looks like a beauty, I was quite moved when I saw the pic posted on the forum of you in behind the wheel with a handkerchief at your face Mike, we can all tell you are a real guy who appreciates what has been done. Enjoy that new ride and keep everyone upto date on how she's treating you!

Like I say, sorry this is a little later than I wanted to send it but if the cost of the valiant is covered I'm very happy to see it go to help out marvin.l Besides my cheque find enclosed some pics from the craigslist ad for your car, I had fun playing with the photo shop on the cumputer, and thought you might like some pics for keepsakes or for your shop wall. I did the same thing after I bought my car so I would remeber the first time I saw it in the ad! I've also enclosed some funky canadian coins for ya!! Enjoy, not sure if you've ever gotten or will get north of your U.S. border so I thought you might get a kick out of having a canuck buck called a "toonie" and a canuck two dollar coin called a "toonie", yeah that's right a toonie and a Loonie, only in canada EH!!! I have been down south as far as Georgia with work and found the people down there thought our money was very funny!! Keep it, put it in your grandchilds piggy bank or bring it up to canada and it will by you almost a full beer, LOL!!! You have to try some canadian beers there guys you'll like em I guarantee that!!

Well I better go now or this will turn into a book you two brothers take care now, hope all is well with you and your families,

Regards and best Mopar wishes, Don, in rainy British Columbia, Canada!

You should see the great pictures
Don made up for me with my avatar on it.=D>
He used the good photo paper and will be apart of my show and tell for Victoria. :love5:The coins are soooooo cool!! Thank you :toothy7:

Awesome Mike! Must feel good to get Vicky all nice and legal. You guys have a 4th parade? I wouldn't be suprised if they asked you and Vicky to join.

It would be pretty cool for everyone who had a classic car out there to cruise right behind. Might want to talk to your chamber of commerce. Maybe a parts store or shop would sponser it?

Memike

So why the heck do they put such goofy looking cars on antique plates? I see a lot guys/gals at the shows just put a cool sticker over it. I saw a scatpack bee over one here in Colorado. Probably illegal but they said they never were hassled for it.

Jeez Mike. I never realized just how pristine Vicky is. That is one smokin' car my friend. Looks like you need a dang trailer for that cooler brother, lol!

She is a time capsule, it would almost be a shame to do anything to alter it.

I was thinking that same thing. Vicky is the definition of a survivor. I almost felt bad suggesting a trailer hitch. Mike needs to do what he wants though. Good thing you'all didn't give me that car, I be whipping out the sawzall and mini tubbing it in prepartion for a stroker low deck 400 and roll cage, LOL!

I'm bad that way though. Never been happy with a factory car.

Yep! she is a big one, You have to keep them good and cold and plenty of them sometime's :drinkers:
I was washing the car and then the cooler:-k and seen a picture.:-D.

You need to get one of those long low big coolers. I used to have one for camping until I lent it to one of my ex fiance's. I came back to pick it up and the hinges were tore off. I know it wasn't her cause she did even have 120 lbs on her, lol! Just one of her loser boyfriends, no big deal. I got it back in trade, hehehe.

There has been so many people that looks at here and have so many stories about there old valiant that was in there family.:love7:
I took my normal weekly drive to my beer store.
I live in a dry county and George here owns and operates the one I have been going to for many years,
I met him 15 years ago at a few fishing tournaments and he came outside and enjoyed looking here over, I gave him an FABO card and I told him that
yall here gave this car to me for a gift, and a short story of how it came to be for me to get it.:love7:
I need to get more Phoenix Specialty Coating card to him "witch I do have".
I put five on his counter and all was gone.

He is a avid fisherman he lost his big boat to Catrina.
Nothing can be better than having a good friend with a great store.:drinkers:
Just another fine day with me and my girl.:love7: Thanks everyone we are enjoying the attention and smooth ride.:notworth:
