After my son's fender bender, the side marker lens lost the tabs and would not snap into the housing. 60+ bucks for a lens was just a bit pricey for me. Here's my cheap fix.
Pack of 12 super magnets, .375 OD. Using some gorilla glue, I glued three super magnets (neodymium) to the back of the lens. Once the glue was set, I placed the lens in the housing and placed three additional magnets on the back of the pot metal housing of the marker lamp. I have attached pictures. (forgive the excessive glue on a few of them).
The lens seems to hold pretty well. I have not driven it yet, but I'm going to have my son keep an eye on it.

Note: I had other thoughts on using magnetism. Originally, I was going to paint the back of the lens with several coats of magnetic paint and then use super magnets to hold them on. If anyone tries this method, let us know how it works.
