In a tree near you.
Car:_ 67 barracuda.
Box:_ Manual 20:1 ratio.
Pittman arm:_Too short I guess.LOL.

The steering radius is too tight I guess.
I got the pittman arm that the vendor recommended but now that I'm actually able to drive the car some, I have noticed that the radius is very short.
Nothing is rubbing or binding but it seems that maybe my pittman arm is to short of a throw.
Anything bigger though, and I may have issues with header clearance.
Maybe this is why they recommended this pittman arm.

Any thoughts on this?
Sorry I don't have part numbers handy at the moment.

Off of steering wheel center, does it turn the same amount left & right?

Any chance you can install your old pitman arm just to test it. You are probably on the right track of new arm being incorrect.

Is the center link currently sitting level from the idler to the pitman across?

I would think you would need to change the idler arm to one that matched the pitman for it to work properly

I'm gonna disconect the idler and see if the pittman gives me any more motion, if so I may see if another idler will help because right now the idler seems to flex a bit at full stop both ways so maybe a longer one is needed.
