It’s on a 108 LSA, not sure that the other stampings will tell much, what is the etched number sequence? Can anyone identify this cam and decode the numbers.. There was no info with it when I picked it up.View attachment 1715721368
LOL.... Nope...! I was given this cam by someone that " knew what they were talking about"... He said it would be PERFECT for my stock, 72 318 manual 3 spd... 8 3/4 3.23Its definitely 1 of 5 cams mentioned here...OP, any closer to ID’ing it correctly?
PUULLEEZZE come back and tell us what it is!... curiosity is killing me!LOL.... Nope...! I was given this cam by someone that " knew what they were talking about"... He said it would be PERFECT for my stock, 72 318 manual 3 spd... 8 3/4 3.23
I sent an email to Isky to see if they can give me some definitive info.

Is it worth anything..?? If it won't work in my 318, I'll just sell it.LOL. I posted what it is earlier, I just sold one identical to it last year. Lay it next to a LA/SBM cam and marvel a how the lobes are not arranged in the same way. It's not going to run in ANY 318 but a Polysphere. Look up the part number I listed above in an old Isky catalog (from the 1970s, maybe early '80s), that's what I did to identify the one I had.

They fellow who bought mine loved it. I got it in a pile of Isky parts and I kept what I could use, but I had no Poly/A-motors. Somebody on FBBO or the HAMB etc. would love to have it I'm sure. Compare it to a LA cam and let us know, I don't want to lead you astray. If it is for a LA engine it would probably work good on the street, but I think that "277" is the damning marking!
Thanks for that... I will post what I find out from Isky. They fellow who bought mine loved it. I got it in a pile of Isky parts and I kept what I could use, but I had no Poly/A-motors. Spoke with Richard Isky today... He thinks, based on the info I gave him, that the cam I have is an old one..60's or earlier... He said perhaps for a 331 Hemi.. I'm emailing some pix and measurements he requested...and he said he might be able to tell me more about it.View attachment 1715723109 View attachment 1715723110 View attachment 1715723111

What did you sell yours for, because mine will be for sale now that I know I can't use it.View attachment 1715723109 View attachment 1715723110 View attachment 1715723111
