I know that it mounts up near the alternator.

Questions:
1. Whats it hold? Fuel line? Dipstick?
2. What years?

Pretty sure its a fuel line clip. ClifCuda65 to the rescue!

upper passenger timing case bolt. Yours may be bent if it looks to fit otherwise.

Thanks, exactly what I wanted to see.
Now what years?
My Barracuda (67) was very original and I don't recall it ever having it (car acquired in 85).
I had a 66 engine with one.

So did 67s have it?

I'm speculating that it wasn't used in 67 as the fuel line doesn't route that way.

I believe Pishta has it right .
You can find them on the 273 commando where they run the fuel line over the pass side face of the water pump.
Keeps the belt off and also in the path of cooler high speed air flow.
