NASA releases Apollo 13 video

It’s wild to imagine what the Apollo 13 astronauts were thinking as they gazed down at these very same visuals. There they were, stuck inside their frigid spacecraft, cut off from all communication with Earth and wondering whether or not they’d actually make it back to Earth in one piece.

This is what NASA released today to show us what they saw...

"Laws of physics, don't fail us now!" Did they have to do a manual burn to free themselves from that orbit or was it planned to slingshot around it like that? IIRC in the movie they had to line up earth in a window and hit the thrust button for a certain number of seconds.....Drama?
