I need a lift (for me) from MD. to ND. in the next 2 weeks. Prefer to leave on July 5.

Got a vehicle you need driven out there?

Cheaper to fly and take a cab from airport.

Did each one of each already this year, drove round trip, flew round trip already this year. Not cheaper to fly.

Need a one way this time, I can drive cheaper than flying even with a motel, and a 1 way flight is only $100. less than round trip, what a rip...

Going to oilfield? If so. make sure you have a job and a place to stay! P.S. just missed out on '72 Scamp here for $500.00. Looked like it had a perfect front clip and rear end. It was for sale for about 2 hours on c-list. o darn!

No oil field for me, Small town called Lakota, 60 miles west of Grand Forks, 30 miles east of Devils Lake.
Buying Grandma's 97 Taurus, garage kept 87k miles, the new commuter car.

Now to just get there....

Lakota is a nice little town. Grand Forks is a large city for ND (about 53,000) ,and they have an Air Force base there. Maybe you can find an Air Force guy ( or gal)? By the way, we use virtually no salt on our roads here so cars don't rust out easily.

Try www.megabus.com. You can buy tickets in advance pretty cheap but you will have to plan the route step by step. May not work for you but I can go from Oklahoma City to Dallas for $1.50 in advance. It might get you close enough to make other connections of fill in missing spots.

Yep, I know them both well.

Wow, I checked them, for a DC departure they seem very limited to only east coast destinations....

I got it done, bit thebullet and flew one way, what a hurtful price! Drove the car home without a problem, already have it through MD inspection and tagged!

Great. If you have any problems with the Taurus in the future send me a pm. I know those cars really well and a lot of their little quirks that shops will rip you off for. I have bought, fixed and sold over 50 of them.

Thanks! The check engine light lit up just before I went on vacation, I'll be back Saturday and take a look into that.....
