I need an AC discharge hose for my 72 Valiant with a slant. Mine has a splice with a hose clamp that I expect wont last very long!
I can't get one made locally (for some reason they have a problem with the muffler). Several companies have offered to splice mine (which is marginal at best) for anywhere from $60-$100.
I would welcome a good used one if anyone had it or more info on where to find one. NOTE: This is an ugly, primered, daily driver, so I don't want to pay Classic Auto Air hundreds of dollars for a re-annodized restored show piece!
Please look at the pics. There were several different setups used on the A bodies, but I've seen this one on the 6 and v8s. It bolts on the front of the compresser with two bolts and threads onto the left (driver's) side of the condenser in front of the radiator.

You can take it to a hydrolic hose repair place and they can replace the hose and put new clamps on it. They reuse the metal parts.

Actually, I've been to three local shops and what they all want to do is SPLICE the one I have..not make a new one. Each spice is expensive and each makes an old hose weaker. Anyway, I'd like to thank Tony for fixing me up with a used one in GREAT condition! Thanks Tony!
