Need education on Demon rally dashes and frames.

Hey Guys,

I have a 71 Demon with standard instrument cluster and dash frame. I also have a dash frame that came out of a 71 Valiant, but that frame has had a rally cluster installed in it. I have some questions:

1. Are the dash frames the same between rally and non-rally cars?

2. Are there major differences in the dash harnesses? Can I make a standard one work with a rally cluster, or do I need a rally harness?

3. Could someone post a pic of a 71 Demon rally dash? I have a couple of rally dashes sitting around, but I think they are 68-9. Could they be installed? Any differences other than the flasher?

4. The car does not have a/c. If I bought an aftermarket a/c setup, could a factory a/c cluster be made to work with the aftermarket a/c?

70 and 71 frames have no key in the right lower by the column. The rally cluster will have no flasher switch above the headlight switch. You can mod the harness with the right connector for the speedometer side of the gauges. The ammeter wiring needs to be lengthened for the gauge is on the right side of the cluster.
