need fender help

I have noticed several Dart's with cut rear fenders. All look close the same what pattern is everyone using? Is it pattern made from the front fender or is there a pattern I dont know about? I want to do this because it greatly improves the look.

The modified rear wheel opening I liked the best was the one I saw at 'Fall Fling' in Van Nuys, CA, last year. The owner raised the stock wheel opening about 3". Looked really clean as it wasn't as 'brutal' looking as the HemiDart openings and maintained the stock look. You could tell something was different but had to look twice to see it.
