need help fuel system

i have a 73 duster /6 that i put a 340 in. there are 2 fuel lines running from the tank to the front to the canister. i would like to do away with the canister, but dont know if its possible or how to do it. thanx Lee

Just take the old lines out with the canister. One of the lines from the canister was tied into the vacuum for the distributer on the /6. Run a new fuel line amd go. Just watch the vent line off the gas right by the sending unit and fuel pickup. You may have to extend that vent.

If you decide to do this, PLEASE consult a shop manual, so that you end up with a properly vented tank.

I say, do NOT remove the 1/4 line going to the rear. This makes an excellent return line if you decide to install a vapor return system, very easy.
