Found this on the garage floor the other day underneath my 69 Dart. Any ideas what it is?
Thanks FABO

It reminds me of the internals of some household door knobs.

I'll combine the theories a bit.....

Guts from a garage door lock.

Part of garage door roller pin is my guess, too. I would look closely to make sure it's not about to come un-tracked anywhere. May not be too good for what's parked under it.

Roller shaft pins are round.

This one is flat.

You guys are really smart. You jogged my memory about an old front door handle assy and lock that I dug out a few weeks ago. I am now sure thats where it came from.

Thanks

There are tube types of roller shafts with two pass through keepers and they look a whole lot like that. It would help to know the dimensions.

Thats it and to think I threw the whole assy away because I couldnt find that one piece until I went for a ride. Thanks Daves69

What doesn't your car do now that it did before? Then that's the part that makes it work. Could be a friend playing a little joke.
