I was trying to find a number in my dist. that would help me find the total mechanical advance that I would have. The other dist. have a number on the mechanical plate, that you double and that's your total mechanical advance.
I was going to double the number and subtract it from 32, and then set my initial timing.
But I don't see any numbers and it looks like it's adjustable.
I didn't get any paper work with it, so I'm asking you guys for help.
I want to try to get to the strip tomorrow for the first time.
It looks like this.
I guess it's no biggy, I'll could just set it at 4 btdc, but it would be nice to know what I have.

Anybody doing any playing at all with a performance engine should have their balancer degree'd. This is the ONLY way to do it in my opinion

There was a thread on here not long ago, evidently there are gauges you can get from MP to stick in the slots to tell how much advance it's set for.

This however is only a guide.
